Tutor Certification Program

Get certified through CRLA -College Reading and Learning Association- with over 800 nation wide colleges and universities participating.

Requirements:

  • Level 1
    • 10 hours of training
    • 25 hours of tutoring
    • 1 hour of observation
    • Maintaining 3.0 GPA
  • Level 2
    • 10 hours of additional training
    • 25 hours of additional tutoring
    • Presentation in a tutoring workshop
    • Maintaining 3.0 GPA
  • Level 3
    • 10 hours of additional training
    • 25 hours of additional tutoring
    • Presentation in a tutoring workshop
    • Maintaining a 3.0 GPA

Life and Learning Workshops or the Workshop@CADS can also be used as training. Make sure you can justify how the workshop pertains to tutoring.

MFC 200 - 1 credit online course on UBLearns with a letter grade (undergraduates only) can also count towards two hours of training for certification. See Linda for Force-Registration forms.
